Crossing Bridges: A Chance to Grow

The Hibbing Adults with Disabilities program is designed to serve adults with physical, developmental or cognitive disabilities by encouraging inclusion in the community and providing educational, social and recreational opportunities for participants.

A few of the activities include a Friday Night Recreation, and Saturday is bowling day, where participants spend two hours getting exercise, having fun and learning sportsmanship. The program runs from September to May.

Friday Night Recreation

This program consists of a variety of planned activities which includes dances, karaoke, special events and field trips. Activities typically run 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Cost to attend is $5.00 per person. Friday Night Recreation takes place in the Hibbing Early Learning Center (2100 12th Ave E, Hibbing, MN 55746) commons.  List of 2024-2025 EVENTS.

Saturday Afternoon Bowling

Saturday is bowling day, where participants spend two hours getting exercise, having fun and learning sportsmanship. Bowling takes place at The Hibbing Bowling Center (1929 5th Ave E, Hibbing, MN 55746) and costs $7.00 per person. Please come with exact amount.  Bowling begins promptly at Noon and ends precisely at 2:00pm. Weather Cancelation Policy

If Hibbing in under any of the following warnings, watches, or advisories Community Ed classes will be canceled. Furthermore, if school is closed, all community ed programs (including Adults with Disabilities) will be cancelled as well. 

  • Blizzard: Warning, Watch
  • Winter Storm: Warning, Watch
  • Ice Storm: Warning, Watch
  • Wind Chill: Warning, Watch
